These little pests are the bane of my life. Here in Germany they are an annoyance, but where the situations are right they are the carrier of disease, or rather the female anopheles mosquito is (always the ladies) in the case of malaria…
Most creatures have some purpose, albeit a little hard to figure out. What possible function does a mosquito have?
Another fundamental problem with the beasties is that they tend to focus on individuals, and this individual in particular. The wife can sleep safely knowing that the blighters will be attacking her (probably awake) husband.
Anyhow, mosquitos – they’re shit.

And gnats. They attack in the evening from at least Yorkshire to the Highlands. Because mozzies and gnats like particular people, I, too, am afflicted. My left ear is now completely eczematous from a gnat-attack which happened THREE MONTHS AGO.
I have recently discovered that wasps are useful, as they eat things like aphids. So finally I can admit wasps have the right to be… but mozzies and gnats? I don’t think so..
they are shit without question!!! i can’t sleep in the summer because they’re flying near my ears. i would like to exterminate them all.
I had the misfortune of working outdoors near some marshy land the other day. Now I’m covered in literally hundreds of mosquito bites. Not very pleasant I can tell you.
