They attack in the evening from at least Yorkshire to the Highlands. Because mozzies and gnats like particular people, I, too, am afflicted. My left ear is now completely eczematous from a gnat-attack which happened THREE MONTHS AGO. I have recently discovered that wasps are useful, as they eat things like aphids.
